Sample interview questions
I would begin by aligning on the revenue target, segment priorities, funnel assumptions, channel mix, and leading indicators. I would review performance on a regular cadence with sales and operations, identify the largest constraint, and then reallocate effort toward the messages, segments, offers, or channels showing the strongest evidence of conversion.
I combine customer research, willingness-to-pay signals, usage data, competitive context, unit economics, and sales feedback. I frame options with clear trade-offs, test assumptions where feasible, and bring a recommendation that connects packaging choices to target segments, adoption behavior, and expected revenue impact.
I would start with shared customer research and identify each audience's jobs, pain points, risks, and success metrics. The core value proposition should remain consistent, while proof points, objections, language, and calls to action should be adapted to each stakeholder's role in the buying process.
I would track awareness and engagement leading indicators alongside activation, pipeline creation, conversion, win rate, sales-cycle movement, adoption, expansion, and retention metrics. The metrics would be segmented by target audience, channel, and partner route so the team can identify what to scale or correct quickly.
I use AI to accelerate research synthesis, first drafts, competitive monitoring, content adaptation, and repeatable planning workflows. I set clear source material, quality standards, and review steps, then apply human judgment to validate claims, refine the narrative, and ensure outputs are useful for the intended audience.
About this role.
We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our Product Marketing team. This role owns the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for one or more products within the Articulate platform, including the GTM plan against revenue goals and the commercial model behind it.
You will shape messaging, pricing and packaging, use funnel data and AI systems to sharpen the plan, and build the launch foundations for execution. You will partner with product, marketing, sales, customer success, growth, ops, and ecosystem and reseller partners to shape the roadmap and carry recommendations to senior leaders. We are looking for someone who writes the playbook, builds the systems the team runs on, and is accountable for the plan that delivers a revenue goal.
What you’ll own:
- Revenue and GTM plan. Own the GTM plan against the revenue goal for your product(s). Work with Sales and Ops on targets, track progress against them, and decide what to scale, fix, pause or stop as results come in.
Commercial model. Shape the pricing, packaging, and monetization approach for your product(s). Make recommendations and carry them through to a decision with cross-functional partners.
Shared context and systems. Build and maintain the positioning, messaging, and competitive context, plus the skills and workflows, that the PMM team and its AI agents run on.
Funnel data and insights. Own the funnel for your product(s), from first touch through conversion and expansion. Help shape the dashboards and metrics the team relies on, using them to turn insights into GTM strategy and execution.
Field readiness. Act as the voice of product, owning field messaging, FAQs, web content, and live enablement for Sales, Customer Success, and reseller partners.
What you’ll do:
Build positioning, value propositions, and differentiated messaging for the full buying committee, from practitioners and business creators to administrators and IT stakeholders, and hold a high quality bar on what the team ships
Develop deep insight into customers, segments, and target accounts, and use research, usage data, and buying signals to guide GTM plans and the roadmap
Build the launch and campaign foundations (plans, templates, assets, standards) that Growth, Content, and Sales execute from
Work with Product and Engineering on the roadmap, and make the case for what to build next and how it should be priced and packaged
Work with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Marketing leadership to reach decisions on commercial strategy that cross teams
Adapt GTM across ecosystem, integration, and reseller partners as revenue channels, including positioning, co-marketing, enablement, and shared account plans
Build with AI every day – create workflows and agents for your own work, and add to the team’s shared context, skills, and agents so everyone’s output improves
Decide what to do yourself, what to delegate, and what to automate
Create internal and field assets, track competitors and market trends, and support events
What you should have:
8+ years of product marketing experience, B2B SaaS preferred
A track record of owning a GTM plan against a revenue goal or other commercial outcome, and making calls on what to scale, fix, or stop based on data
Experience shaping pricing, packaging, and monetization, ideally including usage-based or credit-based models
Hands-on AI proficiency to speed up your work and apply your own judgment to the output
A high-quality bar for excellent storytelling with the ability to turn complex or technical ideas into a clear narrative that stands out
Experience owning a funnel, plus strong comfort with funnel metrics and dashboards used to shape messaging, strategy, and decisions
Experience building a launch or GTM framework from a blank page that others then adopted
Ability to operate in ambiguity, flex across shifting priorities, and execute in adjacent areas like Growth, Ops and even Sales
Experience with ecosystem, integration, or reseller partnerships, ideally as a revenue channel
Proven ability to make strategic recommendations to senior leaders and reach a decision
Strong cross-functional collaboration across product, sales, customer success, growth, operations, legal, and partners
Experience raising the bar for peers through templates, standards, or coaching
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
