Sample interview questions
How would you build an experimentation roadmap for a funnel with substantial traffic but low trial-to-paid conversion?

I would first validate instrumentation and segment the funnel by channel, persona, plan, geography, and device to identify the largest and most actionable drop-offs. I would combine quantitative findings with user research and session evidence, then score opportunities by expected revenue impact, confidence, effort, and learning value. Each proposed test would have a clear hypothesis, primary revenue or subscription metric, guardrails, sample-size calculation, and decision rule.

How do you prevent false winners in a high-velocity testing program?

I define the primary metric and required sample size before launch, avoid stopping tests simply because an early result looks favorable, and account for multiple comparisons when many variants or tests run concurrently. I also use guardrail metrics, check data quality and segment consistency, and distinguish statistical significance from practical business impact. Results are documented with confidence intervals and follow-up actions rather than treated as one-off wins.

Describe how you would evaluate a pricing experiment without damaging long-term revenue.

I would start with a pricing hypothesis grounded in willingness-to-pay research, conversion data, and customer segmentation. The test would measure not only immediate purchase conversion but also net revenue, retention, refund behavior, upgrade rates, sales pipeline quality, and customer-support impact. I would use controlled exposure where appropriate, establish revenue and customer-experience guardrails, and monitor cohorts long enough to detect delayed effects.

How would you align paid media, design, engineering, and product around one optimization roadmap?

I would create a shared funnel model, establish common definitions for key metrics, and maintain a transparent prioritized backlog with owners, expected impact, and dependencies. Regular planning and experiment readouts would make decisions visible and connect each team’s work to subscriptions and pipeline. I would resolve trade-offs through evidence, agreed success metrics, and clear escalation paths for blocked high-impact tests.

When would you choose to build a test variant yourself rather than wait for engineering?

For low-risk, reversible web experiments that can be implemented safely with approved tooling, I would use front-end skills to accelerate learning while following brand, accessibility, performance, and analytics standards. I would involve engineering for changes affecting core product behavior, security, billing, data integrity, scalability, or technical debt. The goal is to increase experimentation speed without bypassing necessary technical review.

About ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company transforming how we interact with technology.

We launched in January 2023 with the first human-like AI voice model. Today, we serve millions of users and thousands of businesses – from fast-growing startups to large enterprises like Deutsche Telekom and Meta. Our investors are some of the world’s most prominent, including Andreessen Horowitz, ICONIQ Growth and Sequoia. We’ve raised $781M in funding and our last valuation was $22B – multiples of 11, always.

We have expanded from voice into three main platforms:

  • ElevenAgents enables businesses to deliver seamless and intelligent customer experiences, with the integrations, testing, monitoring, and reliability necessary to deploy voice and chat agents at scale.

  • ElevenCreative empowers creators and marketers to generate and edit speech, music, image, and video across 70+ languages.

  • ElevenAPI gives developers access to our leading AI audio foundational models.

Everything we do is the result of the creativity and commitment of our team – builders doing the best work of their lives. We are researchers, engineers, and operators. IOI medalists and ex-founders. If you want to work hard and create lasting positive impact, we want to hear from you.

How we work

  • High-velocity: Rapid experimentation, lean autonomous teams, and minimal bureaucracy.

  • Impact not job titles: We don’t have job titles. Instead, it’s about the impact you have. No task is above or beneath you.

  • AI first: We use AI to move faster with higher-quality results. We do this across the whole company—from engineering to growth to operations.

  • Excellence everywhere: Everything we do should match the quality of our AI models.

  • Global team: We prioritize your talent, not your location.

What we offer

  • Innovative culture: You’ll be part of a generational opportunity to define the trajectory of AI, surrounded by a team pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

  • Growth paths: Joining ElevenLabs means joining a dynamic team with countless opportunities to drive impact – beyond your immediate role and responsibilities.

  • Social travel: We also provide an annual discretionary stipend to meet up with colleagues each year, however you choose.

  • Annual team offsite: Each year, we bring your entire team together in a new location – past offsites have included Croatia, Italy and Cancún

  • Co-working: If you’re not located near one of our main hubs, we offer a monthly co-working stipend.

About the role

We’re hiring a Growth PM to own data and growth experimentation across the full funnel, from landing page through to in-app and pricing. ElevenLabs drives significant paid and organic traffic across self-serve, developer, and enterprise funnels; your job is to turn more of it into subscriptions, pipeline, and revenue.

You’ll own the experimentation engine end to end: uncovering opportunities through funnel and product data, building and prioritizing the testing backlog, designing and evaluating experiments, and owning the tracking and reporting that turns results into decisions. Your scope runs deeper than conversion optimization: you’ll drive experiments across onboarding, activation, and pricing, and align paid media, design, engineering, and product teams around one optimization roadmap.

The ideal candidate is equal parts analyst, strategist, and operator: someone who finds revenue hiding in funnel and product data, ships a high-velocity testing program, and communicates results in terms of subscriptions and pipeline, not just conversion rates.

Requirements

  • A track record of running high-velocity experimentation programs end to end – hypothesis, prioritization, test design, and analysis – with measurable revenue impact

  • Experience running experiments beyond the marketing site: in-product (onboarding, activation) and pricing or monetization

  • Deep analytics fluency: comfortable living in product analytics tools (e.g., PostHog, Amplitude, GA4) to diagnose funnel drop-off, segment traffic, and attribute outcomes across multi-domain journeys

  • Strong statistical literacy: you know how to size tests, avoid false winners, and choose the right success metric (revenue and subscriptions over clicks)

  • A cross-functional operator who can align paid media, design, engineering, and product teams around a shared optimization roadmap

Bonus

  • Working front-end web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) to build test variants without waiting on engineering

  • Experience optimizing PLG/self-serve funnels alongside sales-assisted (demo/contact-sales) funnels

Location

This role is remote and can be executed globally. If you prefer, you can work from our offices in Bangalore, Dublin, London, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Warsaw.
