Sample interview questions
A strong answer should explain the initial use case, architecture, evaluation criteria, monitoring, failure modes, guardrails, and measurable production outcomes. It should show how the candidate improved reliability rather than only demonstrating model integration.
I would define a baseline and success metrics before deployment, such as qualified-lead conversion, campaign throughput, time saved, error rate, or incremental revenue. I would combine offline test sets with controlled production experiments, monitor agent behavior, and review both quantitative results and stakeholder feedback.
I would begin with stakeholder discovery to clarify the desired outcome, constraints, available data, and risk tolerance. Then I would deliver a narrow, observable first version, define acceptance metrics, and iteratively expand the workflow after validating that it solves the intended problem.
I use structured outputs, schema validation, tool permissions, deterministic checks, retrieval quality controls, fallback paths, logging, and human review for high-risk actions. I also create representative evaluation datasets and continuously test common failure modes such as hallucination, prompt injection, and incorrect tool use.
A strong answer should describe extracting and validating data with SQL, using Python for automation or modeling, and delivering a workflow or dashboard that informed action. The candidate should quantify the impact, such as reduced manual effort, faster decision-making, or improved conversion.

About ElevenLabs
ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company transforming how we interact with technology.
We launched in January 2023 with the first human-like AI voice model. About the role
We’re building agents that run real parts of our business, take on real work, and get better based on the results they produce. You’ll build them with whatever is most capable right now: our own agents platform, the latest orchestration tools, and frontier models. The hard part is making them reliable, measurable, and safe enough for the business to depend on.
You’ll sit in Marketing Engineering and be forward-deployed to our growth pods, where you’ll find the problems worth solving and own the solutions end to end. You might be a forward-deployed builder, an applied AI engineer who has taken agents beyond the demo stage, or a full-stack engineer who is curious about growth.
Requirements
Python, SQL, LLM APIs and agent orchestration
You’ve shipped production systems that other people relied on, starting from a vague problem
You’ve built with LLMs beyond a demo and know how to evaluate them and where they fail
You measure whether what you built worked
Bonus: experience with GTM data or marketing systems.
Location
This role is remote-first, so it can be executed from anywhere in Europe, with the ability to operate in GMT and GMT+1 timezones. If you prefer, you can work from our offices in London and Warsaw.
