About the Role

We’re hiring a Social Media and Content Manager to join the Fieldguide team. You’ll set the social strategy and own the content calendar that brings it to life, taking our product releases, thought leadership, and customer stories and rebuilding them into short form and serialized content, built to earn attention on a feed, while shaping how our biggest company moments show up on social from concept through execution. You’ll partner closely with our product and marketing teams to determine how and where we show up to the industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Set social strategy and own execution, from concept through the content calendar that carries them.

  • Repurpose and reconstruct long-form assets (blog posts, eGuides, research reports, webinars) into social-native formats.

  • Write and manage recurring short form content for subject-matter experts and functional leads — byline series, resource articles, and campaign-driven event and demand-gen copy.

  • Own and evolve the team’s content systems: calendar, briefing templates, and social brand guidelines, as the function scales.

  • Work directly with demand gen, product, and the broader content and communications team to scope campaigns and content from concept through final delivery.

Who You Are

  • Deep, hands-on social experience — you’ve personally run organic social strategy and execution for a brand: running the calendar, managing stakeholders, setting the cadence, and making platform-specific judgment calls.

  • A knack for translating complex subject matter — you can take dense, technical, or dry material and repurpose it into scroll-stopping content for native social formats

  • An instinct for visual storytelling — you know how to pair copy with the right format (carousel, short video, graphic) without waiting on a designer for every post.

  • Innately curious —A team player who’s comfortable being edited and iterating, and brings genuine curiosity about how audit and advisory professionals engage online.

Sample interview questions
How would you turn a detailed audit-industry research report into a month of social content?

I would first identify the report's strongest audience insights, contrarian findings, practical takeaways, and supporting data. I would map these into a channel-specific content series using carousels, concise expert posts, short videos, data visuals, and prompts that encourage discussion. I would then build an editorial cadence tied to the report launch, measure engagement and downstream demand signals, and refine the series based on performance.

Describe how you make technical or regulated subject matter compelling on social media.

I begin with the audience problem rather than the technical terminology, then frame the idea around a practical consequence, surprising insight, or clear before-and-after outcome. I preserve accuracy by validating claims with subject-matter experts, while using plain language, strong hooks, and visual structure to make the content easy to absorb. The final format is selected for the platform and message, not simply adapted from the original asset.

How would you establish a social strategy for Fieldguide's product launches and company milestones?

I would define launch goals, target audiences, core message pillars, channel roles, and success metrics before developing the creative. From there, I would create a coordinated content plan spanning teaser content, launch-day narratives, executive or expert amplification, customer relevance, and follow-up education. I would document learnings after each launch to improve the next campaign and build a durable social playbook.

How do you manage feedback from product, marketing, and subject-matter stakeholders without slowing publishing?

I set clear briefs that establish the audience, objective, message, owner, approval path, and deadline at the beginning. I ask stakeholders to focus feedback on factual accuracy and strategic alignment, while retaining editorial accountability for format and voice. For recurring work, I use templates and agreed review windows so feedback remains efficient and publishing cadence is protected.

What metrics would you use to evaluate an organic B2B social program?

I would monitor reach, engagement quality, saves, shares, follower growth, video retention, and click-through rates, but would not treat them as the only success measures. I would connect content to broader outcomes such as branded demand, webinar registrations, asset engagement, executive visibility, and sales or customer feedback. I would evaluate performance by content pillar and format to make informed decisions about what to scale, revise, or stop.
