About this role.

Summary of the Role:

As Marketing Coordinator at Maze, an AI-native code security company, you’ll support a fast-moving marketing team across three areas: events, digital and content, and marketing operations. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll pick up the tasks the team hands off and learn how a CMS, a marketing automation platform, events, content and social all fit together.

You don’t need marketing experience. We’re looking for a go-getter who’s organized, reliable and comfortable using AI tools to get work done. We’ll show you some of the ropes and give you templates where we have them, but you’ll figure a lot out on your own.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Works things out. You try first, and ask a clear question when something doesn’t fit the template.

  • Organized and detail-oriented. You catch the small mistakes before anything goes out.

  • Reliable. When you take something on, it’s done when you said it would be.

  • Comfortable with AI tools. You use them to get work done faster, or you’re keen to learn.

  • Happy following a template or checklist, and asking questions when something doesn’t fit.

  • Available 10 to 20 hours a week, with some flexibility in the weeks before big launches, events, or campaigns.

  • Nice to have:

    • Any marketing experience, even a class, club or personal project

    • You’ve used HubSpot, WordPress, Figma, Canva or Google Sheets

    • You’ve helped organize an event of any size

    • You follow social and marketing trends closely

Why Join Us:

  • Learn by doing: You’ll get hands-on with a CMS, marketing automation, events, content and social, working with a fast-moving, AI-native marketing team.

  • AI × cybersecurity: Work at the intersection of generative AI and security, at a well-funded Series A startup.

  • Flexible hours: Work around school, another job or other commitments.

Sample interview questions
How would you prepare and send an event invitation email in HubSpot using an existing template?

I would first confirm the target audience, event details, links, and approval requirements. I would adapt the approved template, test the formatting and links, verify personalization and sender details, schedule the email, and monitor delivery and RSVP results for follow-up.

What would you do if an event attendee list contained incomplete or duplicate records?

I would compare records using identifiers such as email address, remove or merge duplicates according to the team’s process, and flag missing critical information. Before importing the final list into HubSpot, I would validate fields and keep a clean source file for reference.

Tell us how you stay organized when several marketing tasks have similar deadlines.

I would break each task into clear next steps, record deadlines and dependencies in Linear, and prioritize items that affect launches or external communications. I would provide early updates if I spot a risk and use checklists to avoid missing details.

How would you use AI tools responsibly in this role?

I would use AI to accelerate first drafts, summarize information, create content variations, and check routine work, while reviewing outputs for accuracy, brand tone, privacy, and factual errors. I would not upload sensitive data or publish AI-generated content without appropriate review.

What steps would you take before publishing an update to a website page or scheduling a social post?

I would review the copy for accuracy, spelling, links, dates, and brand consistency, then preview the page or post on relevant devices or formats. I would confirm that the call to action, tracking links, and approvals are correct before publishing or scheduling.
