Sample interview questions
I have translated and reviewed patent specifications, claims, abstracts, and supporting documents, with particular attention to preserving legal meaning, claim structure, terminology consistency, and technical accuracy.
I build and maintain a project glossary, use translation memories in the CAT tool, review repeated terminology and claim references, and conduct a final consistency check before delivery.
I would first analyze the technical context, consult authoritative Korean and English technical references and prior approved terminology, then document the selected term in the project glossary for consistent use.
I use CAT tools to manage translation memories, terminology, QA checks, and bilingual files. I can follow client file specifications and validate that HLT, HLZ, FIN, or other required outputs are delivered correctly.
I assess scope and terminology risk early, prioritize claims and high-impact sections, communicate realistic delivery timing promptly, and reserve time for bilingual review and formatting checks before submission.
