Sample interview questions
I first review the document purpose, reference materials, and approved terminology. I then translate with consistent terminology in the CAT tool, perform a focused self-review for meaning and regulatory language, and verify formatting, numbers, dates, and safety terminology before delivery.
I assess whether the machine output accurately preserves clinical meaning, negation, causality, and severity language. I correct terminology, grammar, style, and omissions while following the agreed post-editing level, then conduct a final quality check to ensure the French output is fit for its intended regulatory use.
I use CAT tools to apply translation memories, termbases, quality checks, and project-specific instructions consistently. I also resolve tag and formatting issues carefully and document terminology questions so that decisions remain traceable across related deliverables.
I would confirm scope and source-file readiness immediately, plan production and review time, and prioritize high-risk sections such as safety narratives and labeling. If a blocker emerges, I would raise it early with a concise question and proposed solution rather than waiting until the deadline.
I review each change against the source text, client style guide, and approved terminology rather than accepting edits automatically. I address valid changes, query ambiguous changes professionally, and maintain a clear revision history so the final file is consistent and auditable.
