Sample interview questions
I would begin with sales priorities, target-account tiers, pipeline gaps, and regional opportunities. I would map a coordinated mix of executive events, conferences, webinars, and ABM plays to each segment, establish campaign owners and timelines, and define success measures such as engagement, qualified opportunities, influenced pipeline, and conversion.
I would set objectives before the event, including target-account attendance, meetings booked, lead quality, opportunity creation, and pipeline influence. I would use campaign tracking in Salesforce and HubSpot, ensure timely lead routing and sales follow-up, then review cost per qualified meeting, sourced and influenced pipeline, conversion rates, and qualitative sales feedback.
I would create a regular operating rhythm with Sales to align on priority accounts, buying groups, account intelligence, messaging, and next actions. Marketing should make it easy for sellers to activate campaigns with tailored content, event invitations, and follow-up plays, while sharing transparent reporting on engagement and pipeline progress.
I prepare detailed runbooks, clear vendor contacts, contingency plans, and decision thresholds in advance. During the event, I prioritize attendee experience and revenue-critical activities, communicate changes quickly to stakeholders, and keep a calm, structured record of actions so the team can adapt without losing execution quality.
I use CRM and automation systems to standardize segmentation, campaign attribution, lead routing, nurture workflows, and reporting. By maintaining clean campaign structures and reviewing funnel performance regularly, I can identify where engagement or conversion drops and adjust messaging, channels, audience criteria, or sales follow-up.
