Sample interview questions
I have translated and reviewed regulated medical content such as IFUs, product labeling, user manuals, and diagnostic-test documentation. My process includes researching approved terminology, preserving source meaning, and ensuring the Lithuanian text is clear and suitable for the intended user.
I begin by reviewing client glossaries, translation memories, reference files, and prior approved content. I maintain terminology through memoQ resources and perform targeted consistency checks before delivery, escalating ambiguous terms when necessary.
I compare the target text against the source for completeness, accuracy, terminology, regulatory meaning, formatting, and fluency. I make justified edits, document significant issues when required, and ensure the final text follows project-specific style and quality instructions.
I use memoQ to work with translation memories, term bases, QA checks, bilingual files, comments, and tracked changes. I can follow client workflows and use the required desktop version to complete both translation and copy-editing assignments.
I would review the feedback against the source, project instructions, and approved terminology. If there is a genuine conflict, I would clearly flag it to the project contact with a concise rationale and apply the final approved decision consistently across the relevant content.
