  • Deep marketing domain expertise, including attribution, funnel analysis, forecasting, KPI development, and lifecycle measurement

  • Proven experience partnering directly with senior marketing leaders and executive stakeholders

  • Experience leading attribution modernization or marketing measurement transformation initiatives

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics, statistical modeling, or predictive techniques in a business context

  • Advanced SQL and strong experience with large-scale analytical datasets

  • Hands-on experience with modern AI/BI tools (Hex, Omni, Claude, Dust, or similar)

  • Comfort in modern cloud data ecosystems: Snowflake, Databricks, dbt

  • Experience working with Marketing and GTM platforms: Salesforce, Marketo, GA4, and related martech

What you can expect:

  • A greenfield opportunity to shape the data foundations, measurement frameworks, and analytical standards that Marketing and 1Password’s broader AI capabilities will depend on

  • Deep partnership with Marketing leadership across planning cycles, investment decisions, and performance measurement

  • Ownership of complex marketing domain work across attribution, funnel measurement, forecasting, and lifecycle analysis in a fast-moving SaaS environment

  • A seat at the forefront of how AI gets applied in Marketing analytics, building the trusted, governed data foundations that every AI initiative will depend on

Sample interview questions
How would you design a modern attribution framework for a B2B SaaS marketing organization?

I would start by aligning stakeholders on the business decisions the framework must support, such as channel investment, pipeline creation, and revenue influence. I would define consistent funnel stages and identity-resolution rules, combine first-touch, multi-touch, and account-level views, and validate results against CRM opportunity data. I would also document limitations, establish governance, and iterate based on how leadership uses the outputs.

Describe how you would evaluate whether a marketing channel deserves additional investment.

I would assess incremental pipeline and revenue impact rather than relying solely on attributed conversions. This would include cohort analysis, channel cost, conversion rates across the funnel, sales-cycle length, account quality, and where possible controlled experiments or geo and audience holdouts. I would present the recommendation with confidence levels, assumptions, and expected trade-offs.

How have you used SQL and a cloud data warehouse to improve analytical reliability?

I use SQL to create reusable, documented transformation layers that standardize critical metrics and join marketing, product, and CRM data reliably. In a warehouse environment, I would partner with Data Engineering to implement tested dbt models, data-quality checks, lineage, and clear ownership for source systems. This reduces one-off reporting and gives business teams a dependable shared view of performance.

How would you communicate an ambiguous or statistically uncertain result to executive stakeholders?

I would lead with the decision context and the practical implication, then explain the uncertainty plainly without overstating precision. For example, I would distinguish between directional evidence and a conclusive result, outline key assumptions, and recommend the next action or experiment needed to reduce uncertainty. This keeps the discussion focused on decisions while maintaining analytical integrity.

What role should AI play in marketing analytics, and how would you ensure it is used responsibly?

AI can accelerate exploratory analysis, documentation, anomaly detection, and synthesis of recurring reporting, but it should operate on trusted and governed data. I would establish access controls, metric definitions, validation workflows, and human review for material recommendations. The goal is to improve analyst leverage and speed while preserving privacy, accuracy, and accountability.
