Experience
As an Executive Assistant, I am responsible for reviewing and prioritizing communications and facilitating communications between the Vice President and direct reports. I am also responsible for providing departmental support for all areas of HR and acting as a liaison between HR and other divisions. I field incoming requests, analyze and report resolution or findings, and design and create documents and/or presentation slides using computerized graphics, desktop publishing, and word processing software. It is important for me to maintain a thorough understanding of all HR office matters and College policies and procedures. Additionally, I may assist in managing operational budgets and perform a variety of other administrative duties as assigned.
As an employee in this role, I inform and counsel my colleagues and retirees regarding benefits, procedures, rights, and responsibilities. I create and distribute informational packages and bulletins, schedule seminars and workshops on benefits related topics, and assist in the coordination of annual open enrollment. I also coordinate New Employee Orientation meetings and communicate with District personnel regarding vacation, sick days, and distribute necessary forms. In addition, I maintain leave balances, prepare various spreadsheets to track accounting transactions and histories, and prepare and direct correspondence regarding retirement, employment, benefits, leave, and other related records. I am always ready to perform related duties as assigned.
