Volunteer Event & Community Engagement Consultant United Way of Metro Chicago
Consult with corporate partners to identify alignments between their philanthropic goals and specific needs in the Chicago region, targeting systemic challenges through volunteerism.
Lead full-scale event management, handle logistics from corporate partner consultations to event execution. Responsibilities include budget management, communication with internal and external stakeholders, coordination with event spaces, materials procurement, shipping oversight, invoice handling, event facilitation, and ensuring quality donation deliveries to partner agencies.
Manage over 50 hybrid events annually, with participants ranging from 5 to 1500, generating over $60,000 in revenue for the organization.
Research community needs, collaborate with community leaders, and develop innovative kit building volunteer projects to address identified gaps.
Administer the volunteer database, including:
Input internal events and approve partner organization events.
Provide training to nonprofit partners for entering volunteer needs into the database, facilitating corporate partner engagement to enhance capacity.
Consistently assist nonprofit partners and individual volunteers in navigating databases
Train interns in volunteerism principles, enabling them to proficiently coordinate and facilitate events, enhancing capacity and expanding volunteerism.
Capture events through photography and videography, creating engaging content for social media platforms.
