I am a results-driven communications and hospitality professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and extensive experience in public relations, customer service, quality management, and cultural journalism. Currently, I work as a Public Relations and Quality Specialist at Meliá Costa Rey Resort in Cayo Coco, Cuba, one of the country's leading international tourist destinations. My role involves managing guest relations, maintaining hospitality quality standards, and coordinating with multiple departments to enhance the guest experience.
I have a strong background in communication, guest relations, and working in multicultural environments, regularly interacting with international clients, especially Canadian tourists. I am recognized for my excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, adaptability, creativity, and a strong ability to learn quickly and perform effectively in dynamic work environments.
Previously, I worked as a Cultural Journalist for Granma Newspaper, Cuba’s leading national newspaper, where I researched and wrote articles, interviews, and cultural reports. This role honed my storytelling and written communication skills while working under tight deadlines.
My early career included internships in radio and television production as well as journalistic writing, which provided me with a solid foundation in media communication and content creation. I am fluent in English, with European Union-certified language training, and have basic conversational skills in French.
