Nearshore Engineering Director

I am an Engineering Director and Site Lead with more than 15 years of software development experience and over 10 years of engineering leadership experience. I lead the Serbian office of an international software company and combine technical depth with operational, organizational, and delivery leadership.

Since founding the Novi Sad engineering office in 2014, I have built and scaled the local organization from an initial team of five to more than 20 employees. I have led recruitment, interviewed nearly 100 candidates, made hiring decisions, conducted performance evaluations, and supported the development of internal technical leaders.

I have extensive experience in corporate governance and local business operations. As the registered legal director of the Serbian entity, I work with accountants, legal advisors, vendors, regulatory authorities, and international headquarters to ensure compliance, stable operations, and effective decision-making.

My technical background includes Java, Kotlin, Spring Framework, SQL, REST APIs, enterprise backend systems, and system integrations. I began as a hands-on developer and continue to contribute to architecture discussions, complex technical problem solving, and support for legacy systems when needed.

I am experienced in delivery coordination, staffing planning, financial oversight, cost control, crisis management, and organizational development. I work closely with executive leadership in the Netherlands to align local engineering capacity and operations with business and delivery needs.

I am also interested in practical AI adoption for software engineering teams. I work with AI-assisted development, agent orchestration, AI-generated code review, prompt development, and developer enablement, including an open-source Python tool for coordinating AI coding agents.
