Led the transformation of product development and portfolio management across a 400+ employee organization. Structured the transformation from target vision and roadmap through roles, decision forums, governance, and implementation across product management, software, hardware, and IT.

Owned end-to-end portfolio management and solution-development processes, linking strategy, investment decisions, capacity allocation, and operational delivery. Established Lean-Agile Portfolio Management practices including epic intake, outcome-based prioritization, estimation, business cases, and KPI/ROI/TCO-based steering.

Coordinated cross-functional teams and served as a central interface for executives, product owners, business functions, and transformation leaders. Facilitated alignment workshops, resolved prioritization and dependency conflicts, and supported adoption of new roles and working methods.

Held end-to-end responsibility for digital energy products and energy-market integration in an international, regulated, integration-driven platform ecosystem. Owned product roadmaps for energy management, digital energy services, virtual power plants, and commercial energy-management solutions in Germany and the United States.

Worked with customers, energy-market partners, and engineering teams to turn customer needs, regulatory requirements, and technical capabilities into prioritized use cases, product requirements, and viable solution concepts. Led work from discovery and strategic roadmapping through development, partner integration, market launch, and value delivery.

Aligned product and expert teams and an international product-development organization of more than 120 employees around shared outcomes and delivery roadmaps. Managed strategic partnerships with Volkswagen/Audi, Vaillant, BSH, MVV, and other energy ecosystem stakeholders; brought SMA SPOT to market as SMA's first energy-market product.

Worked on technical product development, software architecture, and partnership development for cross-sector energy-management solutions. Led the redesign of the software architecture supporting SMA's energy-management platform, connecting technical modernization to the long-term product roadmap.

Initiated and led cross-industry working groups for e-mobility and heating at EEBus e. V. and DKE. Managed joint development initiatives with Volkswagen, Vaillant, and BSH, aligning requirements, interfaces, responsibilities, and deliverables across organizational boundaries.

Strengthened SMA's strategic partner ecosystem and helped create the technological foundation for Sunny Home Manager 2.0, which has sold more than 400,000 units.

Conducted research and teaching focused on recommender systems, semantic relatedness, and complex networks. Developed a data-driven approach to name recommendation and translated the research into Nameling, an internationally used web application.

Designed and implemented research applications and ensured reliable technical operation. Earned a PhD summa cum laude for the dissertation "Relatedness in Evidence Networks."

Relaunching a self-developed semantic name recommendation product using semantic search, graph-based relatedness, LLM/RAG-supported content, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Owning the hands-on product lifecycle from use-case definition and solution design through prototyping, evaluation, and roadmap iteration. Evaluating AI use cases across user value, technical feasibility, data quality, governance, and operating cost to guide MVP scope and continuous product improvement.
