About Us

First, we invented the best system for learning to code. And we offered it for free.
Eight years and 45 million learners later, we’ve created serious impact.

Headquartered in New York City, our internal team is now filled with highly curious and diverse individuals whose backgrounds span beyond just tech and education. And we’re growing. A lot.

Codecademy is committed to teaching people the skills they need to upgrade their careers. We aim to educate a richly diverse demographic of users with our product. And we know that in order to accomplish this, our team should reflect that rich diversity. We always seek transparency, thrive on feedback, value our teams and teamwork, love evolving and never forget it’s people first.

Software is disrupting every major industry, and creating millions of new technology jobs that companies are eager to fill. This is the skills gap. Our mission is closing it. Come get to know us, and see for yourself first hand what it means to change the way the world learns to code. Join us in our mission.
