CodePath

We are CodePath, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that develops industry-vetted courses and career support for students preparing for careers in technology. Our mission is to reprogram higher education so that more students can become software engineers, CTOs, and founders, with a particular focus on first-generation and low-income students. We were founded in 2017, when the team behind CodePath.com launched CodePath.org to expand access to technical education and create more pathways to tech excellence. From the beginning, we have worked to eliminate educational inequity in computer science by partnering with colleges and universities and supplementing their curricula with practical, industry-aligned skills. Our courses are designed and taught by software and senior engineers, and they are built to prepare students for successful tech careers. We offer career-ready training such as technical interview preparation and applied engineering coursework, with a strong emphasis on real-world problem solving and professional standards. A core part of our model is accessibility. Our classes are provided at no cost to eligible students, supported by sponsors and partners who help expand access to high-quality technical education. We serve students who are motivated to build careers in computing and want structured support from learning through career entry. We also provide career services designed to help students move from the classroom into the workforce. Our Career Center offers tools, connections, and guidance that support students and alumni as they pursue roles in tech. In addition, our employer-facing programs help companies engage with and develop the next generation of technical talent. Through our programs, we aim to combine rigorous instruction, community support, and career access into a pathway for long-term success in tech. We work closely with students, academic partners, and employers to build a stronger and more inclusive engineering talent pipeline.
