The company went public in 1995, trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol HSIC. Since then, it has experienced substantial growth, with sales reaching $12.3 billion in 2023, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of approximately 11.5 percent since its public offering.
Henry Schein’s commitment to ethical practices and corporate responsibility is evident through its recognition as one of the 2024 World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere for the 13th consecutive year. The company has also been honored with the Equality 100 Award: Leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for eight consecutive years.
In addition to its business operations, Henry Schein is actively involved in philanthropic initiatives. Since 1998, its Back to School program has provided school supplies to underserved children, benefiting over 65,000 students. The company also supports the Special Olympics, particularly its Healthy Athletes program, through essential healthcare donations.
