Founded in 1988, HALO has grown to become one of the world’s largest and most respected humanitarian mine action organizations, operating in over 25 countries and territories affected by conflict. The organization employs over 8,500 local staff, providing them with training and employment opportunities while directly benefiting their communities. HALO’s work not only saves lives but also facilitates the return of displaced populations, enables agriculture and infrastructure development, and supports post-conflict recovery and peacebuilding efforts.
