Vonage

Vonage Holdings Corp., founded in 1998 initially as Min-X, is a leading American cloud communications provider headquartered in Holmdel, New Jersey. The company began as a residential telecommunications service provider based on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. In 2001, it rebranded to Vonage and relocated its headquarters to Holmdel in 2005. Initially catering to consumer markets, it has since expanded significantly into business-to-business communications services through multiple acquisitions starting in 2013.

Today, Vonage serves a diverse customer base with offerings including unified communications, contact center applications, and a suite of communications APIs that enable developers and businesses to integrate voice, video, and messaging into their applications. Despite its growth in the enterprise sector, it continues to support its residential VoIP services.

Vonage’s global reach includes offices beyond the United States, notably in Europe and Asia, with more than 2,000 employees worldwide. The company went public in 2006 and reported revenues of $1.25 billion as of 2020. A significant milestone was achieved in July 2022, when Ericsson acquired Vonage for $6.2 billion, further enhancing its cloud communications capabilities.

The company’s headquarters is located at 101 Crawfords Corner Road, Suite 2416, Holmdel, New Jersey, and it maintains a presence in key international markets including the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and several locations in Asia. Vonage continues to innovate in cloud communications, focusing on integrating advanced communication tools for businesses and developers, thereby maintaining a strong position in the telecommunications industry.
