With over ten yearsβ experience in the communications industry, including roles in copywriting, content creation, marketing, editing, I have successfully led both internal and external campaigns, including social media and stakeholder engagement strategies. I have worked extensively in both print and digital media.
A highlight of my career was as a Junior Editor at Mahlab, where apart from contributing to national publications, I contributed to website and social copywriting and stakeholder mapping for clients like DocuSign and Salesforce. Our LinkedIn campaign saw a 7% increase in engagement compared to the previous year, thanks to my use of tools like Google Analytics and Semrush. This campaign ultimately earned our team and client Digidayβs Best Branding B2B Campaign.
In addition, I founded Red Dot Revolt in 2020, a South Asian events collective, and grew its presence organically on social media by engaging with our community and diversifying content formats.
Most recently, as Communications and Engagement Officer at Transport for New South Wales, I edited and wrote for four newsletters a month, sourced interviews, managed editorial calendars, and wrote social media copy. I also mentored junior writers and produced awards events. In my previous role as Communications Advisor at SMEC, I created a suite of communications materials for a state government agency, ultimately securing an extension to my secondment and winning an additional secondment for my organisation.
I regularly contribute as a freelance critic and feature writer and have showcased my work as a producer, creative director and photographer at various exhibitions.
With a strong background in editorial work, marketing and visual design, I thrive in fast-paced environments and am adept at meeting deadlines while driving engagement.

I wrote and edited for Vertigo Magazine, 2SER and U: Mag
– Increasing our monthly readership by 15% to 5000+ combined readers across three newsletters. I achieved this by including hyperlinks, images and easy-to-read language in our stories.
– Adding value to our online assets by developing a mobile-friendly UX on our website and email newsletters.
– Receiving commendations from multiple Executive Directors for achieving the tone and style guide of each newsletter in addition to researching stories across the business.
– Increasing engagement of Viva Engage by 10% across our branch by changing the tone, style and frequency of our EDβs posts.
– Increasing stakeholder engagement throughout the business resulting in a smooth handover process and key contacts established throughout all three branches and various sub-branches prior to my departure.
– Creating auto replies with key links for our shared mailbox, reducing our frequency of manual responses.
Red Dot Revolt was an annual non-profit showcase of South Asian creativity I co-founded in 2020. Since its inception, we raised over $5000 for various Australian and international charities.
Being selected as the lead consultant out of 10 firms for a six-month secondment with a high-profile state government client, and
subsequently winning a four-month extension to the contract.
Winning a second secondment for my firm for the same client due to the rapport, strong first impression and results I had
achieved with this client.
Increasing community engagement results by 15% over a 10-month period by building a suite of high-value, concise and
impactful project-specific communication collateral, including factsheets, flyers, website content, reports and video storyboards.
Adding value to clients and my firm by teaching myself project-specific CMS and design tools like InDesign.
Volunteering to support women fleeing domestic violence with the non-profit Habitat for Humanity program.
In this role I created content for our partners and clients, worked with different stakeholder teams and wrote for our various publications including Salesforce, DocuSign and Engineers Australia’s magazine, Create Digital and Australian Pharmacist.
I wrote news and feature articles, coded and created newsletters, produced social copy and interviewed talent.
My copywriting work for Salesforce ANZ βs Content Program won Digidayβs Best Branding B2B Campaign (Salesforce x Mahlab) Award 2019.
I began working at Information Age, ACS’ online magazine, in March 2017. I came from a background knowing nothing about tech, to gaining valuable insight into the industry and accumulating a portfolio covering social issues, events, developments and politics within the industry. My roles included:
– Traveling interstate to cover events
– Interviewing leading professionals in the industry
– Liaising with communications professionals interstate and overseas
– Writing feature length articles
– Curating and creating photo galleries
