Teacher / Writer / Translator

I am a CELTA-certified teacher with more than 20 years of experience, and I am currently in the process of completing DELTA certification. I have taught English to hundreds of learners from diverse backgrounds, most recently with the British Council Sofia and Learnlight Holland.

I work primarily as a freelance English teacher, supporting private individuals and students at different levels, including high-school learners preparing for university studies. My teaching experience also includes corporate English instruction for business clients and online group teaching.

Before focusing fully on freelance work, I worked as a financial journalist and editor. This background gave me strong expertise in financial, business, and press language, which remains one of my key professional strengths.

In recent years, I have devoted much of my time to writing and dramaturgy. I have also spent over 10 years translating theatre works for the British Council Sofia, including projects connected to the Royal Shakespeare Company and the London National Theatre.

My academic background includes advanced study in linguistics, Czech language and literature, scriptwriting, and English language teaching. I also hold several internationally recognized language and teaching certifications, including CELTA, DELTA modules, and Cambridge Proficiency in English.

I speak multiple languages, including Bulgarian, English, Spanish, German, Czech, and Russian. I enjoy working across cultures and disciplines, and I bring a strong combination of teaching, writing, translation, and editorial experience to my professional work.
