Event Planner

Plan daily activities to keep the incoming freshman students engaged in team and community building.

Coordinate with other mentors and program directors about plans and schedules over the weekend.

Lead the group in daily activities that taught them more about the college experience and what they might expect.

Conduct research regarding peer mentoring, study skills, scheduling strategies, and goal building.

Producing training materials for student employees to improve their mentoring abilities.

Regularly update my supervisor on new developments and findings that are worthy of a deeper understanding.

Educate impoverished youth over the summer to help them avoid the learning curve that children face during the elementary and middle school years.

Design, adapt, and lead lesson plans four days a week about religion that helped the children learn to make their own choices about their faith.

Act as a mentor and role model for youth when assisting other interns with their part of the lesson plan for the week and comforting them when needed.

Aid students on the subject of personal finance and financial aid through data analysis, monetary advice, scholarship opportunities, budget making, and a monthly newsletter.

Create and manage social media page and online marketing strategy to increase financial literacy and wellness amongst Wabash students.

Research and understand new industry developments and subjects to aid students.
