At Revolut we’re developing a brand-new Risk Advisory team, an elite team of strategic thinkers working alongside our product-owners to design growth strategy aligned with operational risk frameworks.

You will be what they call a Business Risk Manager / Business Control Officer sitting within the first line of defence and reposting into the business.

WHAT YOU’ll BE DOING:

Working with our Financial Crime team and wider risk teams to identify and review operational risks.
Performing risk assessments on the different products traded by the Financial crime department.
Working with the payments/acquiring department to identify operational risk.
Performing risk assessments.
Design, implement and test controls
Develop and test key procedures.
Create and review key risk indicators.
Create and monitor operational risks against limits, produce respective reports.
Registration of risk events, managing and delivering risk incident reports.

QUANTIFIABLE OUTCOMES:

Drive monitoring, testing and remediation of deficient controls
Maintain levels of Operational Risk within appetite
Reduce Departments losses
Ensure incidents and metric breaches are managed within SLA
Ensure self identification rate of issues and incidents by the Department
Ensure zero tolerance for overdue items

QUALITATIVE OUTCOMES:

Ensure growth and departmental initiatives build in control and risk considerations and company policy requirements as well as regulations and achieve 90%+ approval from the relevant stakeholders
Build risk and control awareness across the Department
Support and guide management in their consideration and management of risk as they grow their product offering
Embed risk management practices in the department and ensure full policy compliance

WHAT SKILLS YOU’LL NEED:

2:1 degree from a top university;
6-10 years of relevant work experience, or financial services with 4+ of those years spent in Operational Risk Management or Management Consulting;
Previous examples of practically interpreting and organising complexity;
A solid track record of achievement: you have quickly assumed responsibilities or have won competition awards (can be any of academic, professional, and/or sport);
Organised and methodological;Strong interpersonal skills
