OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION (ONC) seeks to reduce partisanship and promote effective solutions to America’s challenges. Powered by America’s youth, we host a media outlet, produce educational materials and facilitate dialogue intended to make America a better country.

Job Description: The Graphic Design Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions by completing essential tasks in the media department and collaborating with various departments including Media, Business Development, Community and the Core Content Department. The Graphic Design Intern will have experience in platforms such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Paint 3D, Figma, Canva and/or Photopea. This intern is responsible for creating designs including, but not limited to advertisements, book covers, fliers, graphics for video projects, etc. This intern will work closely with the Director of Marketing and peers while also working independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various departments to create creative and informative content that engages members of our Community.
  • Create advertisements, with headlines from the creative writing team, for potential sponsors of our organization.
  • Create designs including, but not limited to book covers, infographics, logos, fliers, graphics for video projects, etc.
  • Communicate with the CEO, COO, and Director of Marketing professionally about designs, necessary layouts and content, timelines and ideas.

Qualifications

Requirements: The Graphic Design Intern should have the following skills, education, and experience:

  • Interest in Graphic Design or working towards a degree in Graphic Design and/or related fields
  • Knowledge of basic editing software such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Canva etc. required
  • Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict
  • Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to make deadlines
  • Ability to attend the weekly Organization-Wide meetings
