Cover letter sample

Dear Hiring Team,

I am excited to apply for the Senior Customer Success Manager role at Unite Us. My background in managing strategic customer relationships, improving product adoption, and guiding renewal and account-growth plans would enable me to help healthcare and government partners achieve measurable outcomes.

  • I bring a consultative, data-informed approach to account strategy, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation.
  • I am comfortable leading executive business reviews, resolving escalations, and coordinating cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Unite Us' mission to strengthen access to coordinated health and social services is especially compelling, and I would welcome the opportunity to contribute to customer success and community impact.

Sample interview questions
How do you create an account strategy for a complex healthcare or government customer?

I begin by mapping stakeholders, desired business outcomes, current workflow maturity, adoption data, renewal timing, and known risks. I translate those findings into a joint success plan with measurable milestones, named owners, and a regular cadence for reviewing progress and adjusting priorities.

Describe how you would identify and reduce renewal risk.

I would monitor health indicators such as platform usage, outcome attainment, stakeholder engagement, support trends, budget conditions, and executive alignment. When risk appears, I would validate the root cause with the customer, establish a documented recovery plan, involve the appropriate internal partners, and communicate progress before the renewal window.

How would you lead an executive business review?

I would tailor the discussion to the executive audience by focusing on agreed outcomes, adoption and performance trends, return on value, risks, and strategic next steps. The review should end with clear decisions, commitments, owners, and timelines that connect platform performance to the customer's organizational goals.

What is your approach to improving customer adoption when workflows are not working well?

I assess the current workflow through usage data and stakeholder feedback, identify friction points, and clarify the target operating model. I then use change-management tactics such as role-based enablement, phased milestones, champions, and adoption measurement to support sustained behavior change.

How do you influence internal teams when you do not have direct authority?

I establish alignment around the customer impact, clearly define the problem and desired outcome, and provide data that supports prioritization. I create transparent ownership, dependencies, and timelines, maintain proactive communication, and escalate thoughtfully when customer commitments or material risks require leadership attention.
