Headway is seeking independently licensed master’s-level mental health therapists (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) to launch or expand a private practice using its insurance, billing, and practice-management platform. Clinicians retain control over their caseload, schedule, and whether they deliver in-person or telehealth care. Required credentials include applicable clinical licensure, an NPI number, and individual malpractice insurance. The opportunity is focused on providing therapy services rather than a conventional salaried employee position.

I clearly describe my client populations and areas of focus, then explain how I use evidence-informed modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, or systems-based approaches while tailoring treatment to each client’s goals and needs.
I follow my state licensing requirements, maintain complete and secure documentation, obtain informed consent, protect confidentiality, and use consultation or supervision when a case is outside my expertise or presents elevated risk.
I would conduct an immediate risk assessment, confirm the client’s current location and emergency contacts, collaborate on a safety plan when appropriate, and activate emergency or crisis resources in accordance with legal, ethical, and clinical requirements.
I establish clear availability and caseload boundaries, schedule appropriate administrative time, monitor clinical complexity, and regularly evaluate workload so that each client receives attentive and consistent care.
Headway’s credentialing, billing, and insurance-support services reduce administrative burden and can improve access for clients. This would allow me to focus more of my time and energy on high-quality clinical care and thoughtful practice growth.
