Sample interview questions
I would begin with seller interviews, support themes, product-usage data, and internal stakeholder input to identify high-value decisions sellers need to make. I would segment use cases by customer impact, revenue potential, feasibility, data quality, and strategic fit, then sequence initiatives into a roadmap with explicit outcomes, adoption targets, and leading metrics.
I would define the customer and business use cases first, including required metrics, data freshness, access patterns, governance needs, and expected scale. From there, I would work with engineering to convert those needs into a phased technical plan, balancing foundational schema and pipeline work with incremental user-facing value.
I use a combination of customer interviews, prototype testing, analysis of existing behavioral data, and a clearly stated hypothesis. I define success measures in advance, such as activation, repeat usage, decision time saved, retention, or revenue impact, and use a limited release to validate assumptions before scaling.
I would create a transparent prioritization framework that considers customer value, strategic alignment, business impact, confidence, effort, risk, and dependencies. I would communicate trade-offs openly, use evidence rather than stakeholder seniority alone, and revisit priorities as new customer or market signals emerge.
I would ensure metric definitions are consistent and traceable across payment processors, gateways, authorizations, settlements, refunds, and subscription events. I would also prioritize data quality, reconciliation, permissions, privacy, latency expectations, and clear explanations so sellers can trust the insights and act on them confidently.
