Sample interview questions
I would begin with stakeholder interviews, system documentation, usage data, support trends, and an audit of integrations and data quality. I would prioritize work using business impact, risk, user friction, scalability, implementation effort, and dependencies, then maintain a transparent roadmap with measurable success criteria.
I establish clear ownership, intake and change-management processes, role-based access controls, data standards, release procedures, and documentation. I also use regular data-quality monitoring and a cross-functional governance forum to ensure changes support agreed revenue processes rather than isolated team needs.
I define canonical data sources, field definitions, integration ownership, validation rules, reconciliation routines, and monitoring for failed syncs. I partner with business owners to set service expectations and investigate root causes rather than repeatedly correcting downstream records.
I would define the business outcomes, source-of-truth model, required data flows, security requirements, edge cases, and acceptance criteria before configuration begins. I would manage the project through phased testing, documented ownership, stakeholder checkpoints, vendor accountability, and a post-launch optimization plan.
I translate technical tradeoffs into operational outcomes such as seller productivity, reporting reliability, adoption, and maintainability. I involve representative users early, validate workflows with real scenarios, and favor scalable solutions that reduce manual work without creating unnecessary complexity.
