Sample interview questions
I would begin with discovery across business processes, user personas, demand volume, data entities, integrations, security, and reporting needs. I would define a governed information architecture for portfolios, programs, projects, templates, custom forms, naming standards, and permissions, then validate it against future scale and operational ownership. Finally, I would document design decisions, dependencies, risks, and change-control procedures so the platform remains maintainable after launch.
I evaluate the integration's transaction volume, latency requirements, data transformation complexity, authentication model, error handling, monitoring, and long-term support needs. Fusion is effective for supported connectors and manageable workflow automations, while a custom service may be more appropriate for high-volume, highly customized, or mission-critical integrations. In either case, I define ownership, retry logic, auditability, and a clear support model.
I identify the affected objects, workflows, custom forms, templates, reports, permissions, integrations, automations, and user groups before recommending a change. I assess downstream dependencies and operational risks, document options and tradeoffs, and obtain approval through the established change-control process. I also plan testing, communication, rollback steps, and post-release validation.
I first clarify the underlying business outcome, constraints, and measurable success criteria. I present practical options with their implications for scalability, cost, user experience, governance, and technical risk, using prototypes or evidence where helpful. If a decision is needed, I make a clear recommendation and document the rationale so the team can move forward with alignment.
I would provide clear solution blueprints, configuration standards, integration contracts, acceptance criteria, and traceability from requirements through testing. I would conduct design reviews at key delivery stages, address ambiguities early, and ensure QA covers functional, integration, security, performance, and regression scenarios. Post-release, I would review results and capture lessons learned to improve governance and future implementations.
