Lyra Health is seeking an affiliate Mental Health Professional to provide care to clients in Singapore, either in a private professional space or virtually. Candidates need a master's degree in psychology, counselling, or a related field, at least five years of clinical psychology experience, and authorization to live and work in Singapore. Required professional registration is with the Singapore Association for Counselling or Singapore Psychological Society; AHPC registration is advantageous. The role requires familiarity with Singaporean or similar clinical regulatory environments and the ability to deliver high-quality, independently managed client care. This is a part-time affiliate position within a technology-enabled mental health provider.

I maintain current registration and continuing professional development, follow applicable ethical codes and local practice standards, and use clear consent, documentation, privacy, safeguarding, and referral procedures. When a case falls outside my scope or requires escalation, I consult appropriately and coordinate a safe referral.
I would conduct a structured risk assessment, confirm the client's current location and emergency contact information, and assess protective factors, intent, plan, and access to means. Depending on the risk level, I would create a safety plan, involve emergency or local crisis services where necessary, document actions carefully, and arrange timely follow-up.
I use cultural humility, ask clients how their identity, family context, language, and values shape their experience, and avoid assuming that one therapeutic framework fits everyone. I adapt communication and interventions collaboratively while remaining attentive to stigma, accessibility, and the client's goals.
I use evidence-informed treatment plans, regular outcome review, secure records, and transparent expectations about availability, fees, confidentiality, and emergency support. I also maintain supervision or peer consultation and refer clients when their needs exceed my expertise or available level of care.
I assess the appropriateness of telehealth for each client, obtain informed consent, use a private secure environment, and establish contingency plans for technical disruptions or emergencies. I preserve engagement through clear structure, active listening, collaborative goal setting, and regular review of clinical progress.

Mental Health Professional (Affiliate)
- A Masters degree in Psychology, Counselling or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of Clinical Psychology experience.
- Mandate requirement – Should have permission to work and reside in Singapore.
- Registration with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or the Singapore Psychological Society (for Psychologists) (SPS).
- Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) would be a plus.
- Significant experience working with Singapore or similar regulatory environments.
- The ability to see clients in person in your own space (such as a professional clinic), or virtually.
