In a recent-style approach, I would reduce unnecessary renders through component boundaries and memoization, optimize expensive computations, and split noncritical code paths. I would validate improvements against agreed metrics such as interaction latency, bundle size, and Core Web Vitals before monitoring the rollout.
I first map the relevant behavior through tests, logs, documentation, and discussions with domain owners. I make the smallest safe change possible, add or improve automated coverage around the behavior, and separate necessary refactoring from feature delivery where appropriate. I document trade-offs and leave a clear follow-up path for larger architectural improvements.
I would clarify the user problem, desired outcomes, constraints, edge cases, accessibility expectations, and success metrics before implementation. I would propose a technical approach early, identify API or data dependencies, and use design review to resolve interaction details. During delivery, I would share progress asynchronously, seek feedback on incremental releases, and use post-launch data to guide iteration.
I keep pull requests narrowly scoped, provide context and testing notes, and use clear documentation for decisions that may not be obvious from code alone. My reviews focus first on correctness, maintainability, security, and user impact, while reserving style concerns for automation where possible. I communicate respectfully, explain the rationale behind feedback, and move complex discussions to a short synchronous conversation when that is more efficient.
I define service boundaries and contracts clearly, account for failure modes such as timeouts and partial data, and ensure client behavior handles loading and error states gracefully. I use observability tools to trace requests across services and collaborate with backend owners on versioning and backward compatibility. For risky changes, I favor feature flags, incremental rollout, and measurable rollback plans.

What is the role?
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building user-facing features, improving the front-end architecture, and optimizing application performance to enable faster and more reliable product experiences. You will analyze existing interfaces, components, and user flows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. With guild insights you will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to design and implement new features, optimize code review processes, and implement front-end development best practices.
This contract is CLT and paid in $BRL.
What You’ll Bring:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting production web applications
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Solid knowledge of and experience with React
- Proficiency writing software used in a production environment
- Experience working on a platform with multiple services
- Excitement and motivation to expand your skillset and take on difficult challenges
- Team player mentality: highly collaborative, documentation-focused and recognizing how to balance asynchronous communications and virtual meetings
- A passion for solving complex technical problems in both new and legacy codebases
