Sample interview questions
Describe a time you used operational data to identify and resolve a performance issue.

I would begin by defining the affected KPI and segmenting performance by relevant dimensions such as channel, workflow stage, customer cohort, or team. After validating data quality, I would combine quantitative patterns with frontline feedback to isolate likely root causes, prioritize actions by expected impact and effort, and track results against a baseline after implementation.

How would you evaluate whether a new Care Operations process improved the patient experience?

I would establish a pre-launch baseline and define leading and lagging measures, such as time to care, completion rates, contact rate, satisfaction, quality outcomes, and repeat contacts. Where feasible, I would use a controlled experiment or comparison cohort, examine results by patient segment, and pair the data with qualitative feedback before recommending iteration or broader rollout.

How do you translate a complex analysis for senior non-technical stakeholders?

I lead with the decision required, the key insight, and the expected business impact rather than the methodology. I use simple visuals, clearly state assumptions and tradeoffs, and provide a concise recommendation with options, risks, owners, and next steps; supporting detail is available in an appendix or follow-up discussion.

How do you prioritize multiple ambiguous analytical requests in a fast-paced environment?

I assess each request by patient impact, business value, urgency, reversibility, decision deadline, and effort required. I align priorities with stakeholders, clarify the minimum analysis needed to make a sound decision, and communicate tradeoffs early while reserving capacity for urgent operational risks.

What is your approach to partnering with Product, Clinical Operations, and Customer Support on an operational improvement?

I align the group on the problem statement, customer outcome, success metrics, constraints, and accountable owners. I use each team's domain expertise to shape the diagnosis and solution, create a shared measurement plan, and maintain a regular review cadence until the change reaches stable performance.
