I would also implement structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting so lag, failures, and processing latency can be monitored in production.
I first clarify the user outcome, technical constraints, dependencies, and acceptance criteria. I then split the work into independently testable vertical slices, identify spikes or infrastructure prerequisites early, estimate risk, and sequence issues so the team can deliver usable increments while reducing uncertainty.
I would begin with production-safe telemetry and EXPLAIN ANALYZE results, checking query plans, row estimates, indexes, locks, and data-volume assumptions. I would then optimize the query or indexing strategy, validate the change against representative workloads, and monitor latency and resource usage after deployment.
I define behavior and failure scenarios upfront, keep domain and API contracts explicit, and cover core logic with unit tests. I add integration or end-to-end tests for persistence and API behavior, use code review and CI checks, and verify operational signals after release.
I use them to accelerate routine tasks such as drafting tests, exploring unfamiliar code paths, generating documentation, and proposing implementation alternatives. I treat outputs as suggestions, verify them against requirements and security standards, and rely on review, tests, and my own judgment before merging changes.

What You’ll Be Up To:
- Implementing Core services for the platform in .NET 10 that runs in Docker containers;
- Developing features from DB to the APIs;
- Ensuring the platform remains scalable and the codebase remains maintainable;
- Proactively monitoring the services in production and spotting potential issues;
- Care about the quality of produced code by covering it with unit and e2e tests;
- You will be a part of an exciting, open, and agile team, where your voice matters and has a company-wide impact.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- You have a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience;
- You bring at least 5 years of experience working in software engineering with relevant programming experience;
- Proficient in .NET backend development, including technologies such as Kafka (or equivalents), AWS, Docker, ECS/Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, Claude Code) to accelerate development, troubleshoot code, and generate documentation;
- A growth mindset toward continuously exploring new AI technologies that can positively impact our engineering culture and delivery pipeline.
- Nice to have: Experience applying Kafka for real-time processing, leveraging AWS/Docker for DevOps workflows, or performing PostgreSQL optimizations.
- You know how to break down large epics into smaller issues;
- You worked with the concepts of IaaS/ PaaS/ SaaS;
- You worked extensively with microservices-based architecture and used asynchronous message-based communication;
- You communicate fluently in English; German and any other languages are always welcomed;
