Sample interview questions
I first clarify the feature scope, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and risks. I then design positive, negative, boundary, and regression test cases, prepare the required environment and data, execute the tests, and document results and defects clearly.
It should include a concise title, environment and build details, prerequisites, exact reproduction steps, expected and actual results, severity or impact, and supporting evidence such as screenshots, logs, or recordings.
I would validate the user flow on supported mobile devices, API requests and responses, error handling, data consistency, authentication behavior, and server-side processing. I would also test network interruptions, different client states, and regression impact on related services.
I prioritize based on release deadlines, customer impact, business criticality, recent code changes, known risk areas, and dependencies. I communicate the plan and any coverage trade-offs early so stakeholders can make informed decisions.
I provide reproducible evidence and explain the user or product impact without assigning blame. I stay available to clarify behavior, retest the fix promptly, and add regression coverage where appropriate to prevent recurrence.
