Sample interview questions
How have you influenced a defense requirement before it became a formal acquisition program?

I begin by mapping the operational problem, stakeholder network, funding path, and acquisition timeline. I engage users, program offices, and technical influencers with mission-relevant evidence, then translate feedback into a coordinated internal campaign that builds advocacy while remaining compliant with procurement rules.

What is your approach to building credibility with USAF and USSF senior leaders?

I lead with an informed understanding of their mission priorities, constraints, and decision processes rather than a product pitch. I maintain credibility by following through on commitments, bringing the right technical experts into discussions, and offering practical insights that help customers solve operational problems.

How would you develop an Air and Space Force market-development plan for Silvus?

I would prioritize mission areas and programs where resilient networking creates the greatest operational value, identify key organizations and decision-makers, and establish objectives, engagement actions, and transition milestones. The plan would include intelligence collection, advocacy strategy, internal ownership, and regular reviews against the long-range revenue pipeline.

Describe how you coordinate sales, engineering, product, and government affairs teams around a strategic opportunity.

I establish a shared account narrative, desired customer outcome, decision timeline, and clear workstream owners. Regular cross-functional reviews ensure that technical demonstrations, product-roadmap input, customer messaging, and policy engagement reinforce one another rather than create disconnected customer interactions.

How do you balance strategic influence activities with ethical and procurement-compliant conduct in the DoD environment?

I maintain strict awareness of procurement integrity requirements and avoid seeking nonpublic competitive information or creating inappropriate commitments. My focus is on transparent mission education, lawful relationship building, technically accurate capability discussions, and documented coordination with internal legal and government-affairs partners.
