Sample interview questions
How do you turn qualitative and quantitative data into a prioritized CRO testing roadmap?

I combine analytics data, funnel analysis, session recordings, heatmaps, user feedback, and business priorities to identify high-friction opportunities. I document each hypothesis with the affected audience, expected behavior change, KPI, effort, and confidence level, then prioritize using a framework such as ICE or PIE.

Describe how you determine whether an A/B test result is ready for rollout.

I confirm tracking accuracy, test integrity, adequate sample size, duration across normal business cycles, and statistical significance or confidence thresholds agreed before launch. I also assess practical business impact, segment-level performance, and potential negative effects on downstream metrics before recommending rollout.

How would you communicate an inconclusive or negative experiment result to a client?

I would clearly explain the original hypothesis, methodology, observed results, and any limitations without framing the outcome as a failure. I would emphasize what was learned, identify any useful segment or behavioral signals, and recommend the next highest-value iteration or alternative hypothesis.

What QA steps do you perform before launching an experiment?

I validate variation rendering across devices and browsers, audience targeting, traffic allocation, event tracking, conversion goals, URLs, redirects, and exclusion rules. I also test analytics events in real time, confirm that the control experience remains intact, and document rollback and monitoring procedures.

How do UX/UI principles influence your experimentation strategy?

UX/UI principles help ensure that test variations address genuine user friction rather than cosmetic changes. I use concepts such as visual hierarchy, clarity of value proposition, cognitive load, trust signals, accessibility, and clear calls to action to create hypotheses that are both user-centered and measurable.
