Sample interview questions
How would you structure a proof of concept for a customer evaluating Infisical for secrets management?

I would begin with discovery to identify the customer's security objectives, current secret stores, deployment model, developer workflows, and success criteria. I would then define a small but representative use case, configure the relevant integrations and access controls, document measurable outcomes, and run a final review that maps results to rollout recommendations and next steps.

How do you explain secrets-management architecture to both developers and executive stakeholders?

For developers, I focus on workflow details such as authentication, SDK or CLI usage, CI/CD integration, environment separation, and least-privilege access. For executives, I connect the same architecture to risk reduction, auditability, faster delivery, and standardized security controls, avoiding unnecessary implementation detail while retaining clear business outcomes.

Describe how you would handle a customer whose onboarding is stalled because their implementation differs from standard best practices.

I would diagnose the technical and organizational blockers through a focused working session, validate their constraints, and distinguish non-negotiable security requirements from configurable implementation choices. I would propose a phased path that enables early value while documenting trade-offs, coordinating product or engineering support where needed, and maintaining clear ownership and timelines.

What customer feedback should influence the product roadmap, and how would you communicate it internally?

I prioritize feedback that is repeated across accounts, blocks activation or expansion, affects security or reliability, or represents a strategically important customer segment. I would summarize the customer problem, affected workflows, evidence and frequency, business impact, proposed options, and urgency so product and engineering teams can evaluate it against broader roadmap priorities.

How would you partner with an account executive during a technical discovery call?

Before the call, I would align on account context, desired outcomes, stakeholder roles, and likely technical risks. During the conversation, the account executive can guide commercial qualification while I explore architecture, integrations, security requirements, and implementation readiness; afterward, I would provide a technical recap, solution approach, open questions, and next-step plan.
