Sample interview questions
I would begin by reviewing behavioral data, support feedback, and qualitative research to understand where users fail or hesitate. After mapping the flow and validating the problem through interviews or usability tests, I would prototype alternatives, test them with representative users, and partner with engineering to release the strongest solution. I would measure success through completion rate, time on task, error rate, and user feedback.
I connect near-term design work to a clear product vision and maintain a roadmap of foundational improvements alongside feature delivery. For each quarter, I prioritize the highest-impact opportunities while ensuring design decisions do not create avoidable future debt. I communicate trade-offs explicitly so product leadership can make informed prioritization decisions.
I synthesize research into key needs, pain points, jobs to be done, and opportunity areas before generating multiple concepts. I use low-fidelity flows and wireframes to align stakeholders early, then develop interactive prototypes to test behavior and content. Once the approach is validated, I produce high-fidelity designs and detailed specifications with accessibility and implementation constraints in mind.
I involve both disciplines early, sharing user evidence, assumptions, and prototype concepts before design is finalized. I use regular working sessions to resolve feasibility questions, clarify interaction behavior, and agree on scope. During delivery, I remain available for implementation review and use feedback to improve both the feature and the team’s design-development process.
I would establish a baseline and define outcome metrics tied to the workflow, such as successful booking completion, time to complete a task, cancellation rate, error rate, and satisfaction. I would pair quantitative tracking with usability sessions and feedback from patients or healthcare professionals. Success would mean measurable improvement in user outcomes without introducing operational or accessibility issues.
About this role.
Welcome to the good side of tech 👋
You might have heard about us, but with a different name: Doctoralia. It all started 12 years ago when we asked ourselves: is anyone in healthcare thinking about patients? We jumped in and we empowered patients by giving them access to leave and read reviews about their visit. We then provided doctors with the technology to manage bookings easily and save time, so they could devote themselves to what they always wanted: treating patients. And today is the day in which we ask you: wanna join us in the next step of making the healthcare experience more human?
