Sample interview questions
I would first review the summons, complaint, account history, and any existing settlement activity to confirm the legal status and key deadline. I would prioritize contact with the law firm, document every interaction in the CRM, escalate internally when needed, and pursue a compliant settlement option that protects the client while preventing avoidable legal action.
I treat compliance as part of successful performance rather than a competing priority. I follow approved negotiation procedures, accurately document representations and agreements, verify settlement terms before communicating them, and seek guidance whenever a legal or regulatory issue is unclear.
I triage work by legal urgency, client impact, settlement opportunity, and required follow-up date. I use CRM task queues, call blocks, standardized documentation, and daily priority reviews so that urgent accounts are addressed promptly without losing visibility into routine follow-ups.
I would identify the parties involved, account details, claimed balance, filing status, court or case information, deadlines, requested relief, and any prior settlement terms. I would then compare those details with the client record and use the findings to determine the appropriate negotiation and escalation path.
I would be prepared, professional, responsive, and transparent about the information I can provide. By honoring commitments, communicating clearly, and bringing realistic settlement proposals, I can establish credibility while still persistently seeking the most favorable available terms for clients.
