Sample interview questions
How would you establish trust with a new client whose insights programme you have inherited?

I would begin with a structured discovery conversation to understand their objectives, stakeholders, preferred communication style, success measures, and any current concerns. I would then confirm agreed priorities in writing, establish a regular cadence, and deliver early, reliable follow-through on actions and commitments.

Describe how you would handle a client who is dissatisfied with the quality of an insight report.

I would acknowledge the concern promptly, clarify the specific gaps against the agreed brief, and assess the issue with the relevant delivery team. I would communicate a clear remediation plan, including ownership and timing, complete quality checks before resubmission, and use the feedback to prevent recurrence.

What approach would you use to identify a renewal or upsell opportunity without compromising the client relationship?

I would focus first on the client’s evolving goals and evidence of unmet needs, such as additional stakeholders, new markets, or requests outside the current scope. I would frame any recommendation around measurable client value, collaborate with commercial colleagues on an appropriate proposal, and ensure expectations are transparent.

How do you prioritize competing client requests and internal deadlines?

I assess each item by client impact, contractual commitments, urgency, effort, and dependencies. I communicate trade-offs early, align deadlines with stakeholders where needed, maintain a visible task plan, and escalate risks before they affect delivery quality or client expectations.

How would your French-language skills support this role?

I can communicate clearly and professionally with French-speaking clients and stakeholders, helping ensure briefs, insights, feedback, and recommendations are accurately understood. This supports stronger relationships, reduces ambiguity, and enables a more responsive client experience across both written and verbal interactions.
