Sample interview questions
I would first gather request IDs, timestamps, endpoint details, error payloads, and the customer’s reproduction steps. I would correlate those details with service logs and monitoring data, validate DNS, TLS, HTTP, and RPC behavior, and attempt to reproduce the issue with CLI tools or a local proxy. I would document confirmed impact, probable cause, mitigations, and any escalation package needed by Engineering or Infrastructure.
I would automate repetitive diagnostic collection for common connectivity or RPC issues. For example, a Python or Bash tool could run DNS and TLS checks, capture endpoint response headers and latency, validate JSON-RPC payload formatting, and generate a standardized support bundle. This reduces manual work, speeds triage, and makes escalations more consistent.
I would acknowledge the impact, state what is known without speculation, provide any safe workaround, and set a clear expectation for the next update. Internally, I would maintain detailed technical notes; externally, I would use concise, customer-appropriate language focused on status, impact, and next steps. I would continue to own communication until the issue is resolved or appropriately handed off.
I would group similar cases by symptom, root cause, affected integration, and customer impact to identify patterns. I would then create a well-documented bug report, documentation request, tooling proposal, or product feedback item with reproduction steps and evidence. After prioritization, I would update support resources and monitor ticket volume to confirm the improvement reduced recurrence.
Terraform knowledge helps me understand and troubleshoot customer deployment configurations, identify common infrastructure misconfigurations, and collaborate effectively with platform teams. Linux expertise enables me to inspect host behavior, processes, permissions, networking, logs, and resource constraints. Together, these skills support faster diagnosis of infrastructure-related issues and more actionable escalations.
About this role.

The Role
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be working on everything from answering simple support requests from potential customers about our service to setting up a local proxy to debug outgoing Web3 requests. You will be responsible for ensuring that we provide resolutions to customers quickly and, when that is not possible, translating customer hardships into actionable items for our developer team to fix. We’re looking for an individual who does not need constant supervision to track and reproduce customer issues. You can expect to meet daily to review customer issues, task progress, and solution design.
What You’ll Do
Own and resolve technical support requests from customers, ranging from basic product questions to complex Web3, infrastructure, and integration issues.
Triage, reproduce, and debug customer-reported issues using logs, CLI tools, scripting, local proxies, and other troubleshooting methods.
Clearly document technical findings, reproduction steps, customer impact, and recommended next actions for Engineering, Infra, Product, and TechOps teams.
Translate recurring customer issues into actionable improvements, including bug reports, product feedback, internal tooling needs, and support process updates.
Partner closely with Engineering and other cross-functional teams to ensure customer issues are resolved quickly and escalations are handled with urgency and context.
Create and maintain internal support documentation, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and customer-facing resources to improve support quality and consistency.
Build or improve scripts, tooling, and automation that reduce manual support effort and improve time to resolution.
Manage customer account and billing-related support needs, including refunds, credits, and charges in Stripe when appropriate.
Participate in daily support reviews, team handoffs, and support rotations to ensure strong customer coverage and shared visibility into active issues.
Help maintain a high-quality customer experience by communicating clearly, taking ownership, and following issues through to resolution.

Ability to set up software that may be unfamiliar.
Thoroughness in debugging and documenting issues for other teams.
