Sample interview questions
How would you identify and prioritize AI adoption opportunities within an existing customer account?

I would begin with stakeholder discovery to understand business goals, current workflows, pain points, and measurable success criteria. I would then map AI-agent capabilities to the highest-impact use cases, prioritizing opportunities by expected value, implementation effort, customer readiness, and time-to-value. Finally, I would align on a phased adoption plan with clear owners, milestones, and outcome metrics.

Describe how you would help a customer transition from manual workflows to AI-agent execution.

I would frame the transition around the customer’s desired outcome rather than the technology itself. After documenting the current process, I would identify an initial low-risk, high-value workflow, configure an onboarding and training plan, and establish review points to build confidence. Once early results are demonstrated, I would use those wins to expand adoption to additional processes and teams.

What metrics would you use to measure successful adoption of SOCi’s AI capabilities?

I would measure activation and usage metrics, such as time-to-first-agent, active users or workflows, task completion volume, and feature utilization. I would also track business outcomes including time saved, efficiency gains, campaign or engagement improvements, customer satisfaction, retention signals, and expansion potential. Metrics should be agreed with the customer before rollout so value is demonstrable and relevant.

How would you handle a customer who is hesitant to trust AI agents in a core business workflow?

I would first understand the source of concern, such as quality, governance, brand risk, or job-change anxiety. I would propose a controlled pilot with clear guardrails, human review where appropriate, transparent success criteria, and regular performance reporting. Demonstrating reliable results in a limited use case helps establish trust before broader automation is introduced.

How do you collaborate with Product and Sales while maintaining a customer-success focus?

I would provide Product with structured, evidence-based feedback on adoption barriers, recurring customer needs, and feature gaps, including the business impact of each issue. For Sales, I would supply customer outcomes, positioning insights, and adoption playbooks that support responsible expansion conversations. In both cases, I would keep customer value, expectations, and long-term success as the primary decision criteria.
