Sample interview questions
I first review their usage and identify the outcome they are trying to achieve. I ask targeted questions to uncover the barrier, connect the most relevant plan features to their needs, clearly explain pricing and value, and address objections directly. I then offer a clear next step, such as assisted checkout or a short follow-up, while documenting the conversation in the CRM.
I prioritize chats based on urgency and buying intent, use approved templates as a starting point, and personalize each response with the customer's specific context. I keep messages concise, confirm understanding before recommending a plan, and update CRM notes immediately after each meaningful interaction. This approach supports both fast response times and accurate follow-through.
I would record the customer’s company details, stakeholders, current product usage, desired outcomes, package or licensing needs, budget signals, timeline, objections, and all prior interactions. I would also state why the opportunity exceeds the inside-sales scope and recommend the immediate next action. This gives the Account Manager enough context to continue the conversation without making the customer repeat themselves.
I use CRM data to track lead source, product usage, conversation outcomes, objections, stage progression, and follow-up commitments. Reviewing these patterns helps identify high-intent behaviors, prioritize outreach, and reveal recurring objections that can be addressed through better messaging or enablement. Accurate daily logging is essential because it makes pipeline reporting and handoffs reliable.
I would acknowledge the frustration, arrange or take the call promptly, and let the customer explain the issue without interruption. I would clarify the desired resolution, resolve what I can during the conversation, and set transparent expectations if another team must assist. Afterward, I would summarize the outcome and next steps in the CRM and follow up in writing if needed.
