Sample interview questions
How would you build a qualified pipeline of agency and brand prospects for StackAdapt?

I would define priority segments based on agency type, vertical, campaign maturity, and likely programmatic-media needs. I would research relevant decision-makers, use tailored email, phone, LinkedIn, and event outreach, and track engagement and conversion data in the CRM. I would qualify early against business need, decision process, budget, timeline, and technical fit before investing heavily in a pursuit.

Describe how you would apply MEDDIC to a new advertising opportunity.

I would identify measurable outcomes such as reach, conversion efficiency, or campaign performance; establish the economic buyer; map decision criteria and the buying process; surface the client’s pain; identify an internal champion; and confirm the competitive landscape. I would document these findings in the CRM and use the gaps to plan the next meeting and advance the opportunity.

How do you maintain sales discipline while handling a high volume of outbound activity?

I use time blocks for prospecting, follow-ups, discovery preparation, and CRM updates, supported by clear activity and pipeline targets. Every opportunity has a next step, owner, date, and qualification status. I review pipeline quality regularly, remove stalled deals when appropriate, and focus follow-up effort on prospects with clear potential and momentum.

How would you explain the value of a programmatic advertising platform to a prospect unfamiliar with DSP technology?

I would begin with the prospect’s marketing objectives and current challenges, then explain in plain language how a DSP helps reach relevant audiences across digital channels with centralized targeting, optimization, and measurement. I would connect platform capabilities to business outcomes such as more efficient spend, stronger campaign control, and clearer performance insights rather than leading with technical terminology.

Tell us about a time you re-engaged a dormant prospect or customer.

I would describe researching why engagement stopped, identifying a relevant new trigger such as a campaign launch, business change, or unmet need, and returning with a concise, personalized point of view. I would ask discovery-focused questions rather than assuming the prior objection still applied, align a revised solution to current priorities, and establish a concrete next step with the right stakeholders.
