Sample interview questions
How would you develop an outreach strategy for a Bay Area county with diverse cultural and linguistic communities?

I would start by reviewing county demographics, behavioral-health access gaps, trusted local institutions, and existing referral pathways. I would then prioritize community-informed partnerships, tailor messages and materials to audience needs, and test a mix of school, provider, nonprofit, and event-based channels. I would track referral and engagement outcomes by channel and adjust the strategy based on results and stakeholder feedback.

Describe how you would build a partnership with a school district or county health agency.

I would first identify the stakeholder's priorities, current student or family support gaps, and decision-making process. I would clearly position BrightLife Kids as a complementary, no-cost resource and propose a practical referral or awareness workflow that minimizes work for staff. After launch, I would maintain the relationship through regular updates, shared outcome data, and responsive problem-solving.

How have you used CRM data to improve outreach performance?

I use CRM data to maintain a disciplined pipeline, document contacts and next steps, and identify where opportunities stall. By comparing outreach activity, attendance, referrals, and conversion rates across partner segments or campaigns, I can focus effort on high-performing channels and refine underperforming messages. Consistent data hygiene also makes reporting more actionable for leadership and cross-functional teams.

This role includes evening and weekend events. How would you remain effective while managing a busy regional portfolio?

I would plan the calendar around high-impact events, establish clear goals for each activation, and protect time for follow-up afterward. I would use templates, CRM workflows, and prioritization criteria to ensure promising contacts receive timely communication. I would also share concise progress updates early so that workload, event coverage, and strategic priorities remain aligned with my manager and team.

How would you handle hesitation from a community partner that is concerned about recommending a virtual behavioral-health service?

I would listen carefully to understand whether concerns relate to access, clinical trust, technology, language, or continuity of care. I would respond with clear information about the program's services, eligibility, referral options, and how it can complement local supports rather than replace them. Where appropriate, I would offer a demonstration, educational session, or pilot engagement plan and use feedback to address barriers collaboratively.
