Sample interview questions
How would you approach designing an in-game offer screen that improves conversion without harming the player experience?

I would first clarify the target player segment, offer value, and success metric. I would create a clear hierarchy around the reward, price, urgency, and call to action, then develop variants that test visual emphasis, messaging, and layout while preserving readability and trust.

Describe how you use A/B-test results in your design process.

I define a focused hypothesis before creating variants, such as whether a clearer value comparison will improve purchase conversion. After reviewing results alongside relevant guardrail metrics, I identify the design element most likely responsible, document the learning, and apply it to the next iteration.

What considerations do you make when preparing UI assets for mobile-game implementation?

I organize files and layers for engineering and animation, follow naming conventions, account for texture atlas limits and file size, and verify that exported assets remain legible at target device resolutions. I also provide specifications for states, transitions, and scalable components.

How do you maintain a cohesive visual style across new events, promotions, and core game screens?

I use the established component library, style guide, color and typography rules as a baseline, then introduce event-specific expression in a controlled way. Regular design reviews and reusable components help keep new content consistent while allowing it to feel fresh.

Tell us about a time you had to deliver multiple UI concepts under a tight deadline.

I would prioritize the core player journey and create a small number of strategically distinct directions rather than over-polishing one concept too early. I would share work quickly with stakeholders, align on the strongest direction, and reserve time for implementation details and final QA.
