Sample interview questions
How would you approach a website redesign for a client whose site has poor conversion performance?

I would begin by reviewing analytics, conversion paths, audience needs, existing content, and stakeholder goals. I would then conduct a content audit, identify UX and messaging gaps, create an information architecture and prioritized recommendations, and validate improvements through QA and targeted A/B tests.

Describe your process for conducting a content audit and creating a Keep-Update-Delete report.

I inventory pages and key assets, assess each item against business goals, user intent, performance, accuracy, and brand alignment, and then classify it as keep, update, consolidate, redirect, or delete. I document the rationale and proposed next steps so stakeholders can make informed decisions and production teams can execute efficiently.

How do you ensure a page built in WordPress, Webflow, or HubSpot meets quality standards?

I compare the completed page against approved designs, content, brand standards, and functional requirements. I test responsive behavior, links, forms, navigation, visual consistency, accessibility basics, and browser compatibility, then log and resolve issues before release.

How would you use UX research findings to influence a client’s website messaging and navigation?

I would synthesize interviews, personas, journey observations, and analytics into clear audience needs and decision criteria. From there, I would recommend navigation labels, page hierarchy, messaging priorities, and calls to action that make the experience easier to understand and more relevant to users.

How do you manage competing deadlines while working independently in a remote agency setting?

I break work into defined milestones, prioritize by client impact and due date, and maintain transparent progress updates in project-management tools. If scope, dependencies, or timing change, I communicate early with the project manager and stakeholders to agree on a practical plan.
