The role, at a glance.
Dscout is hiring a GTM & Salesforce Systems Administrator to own and improve Salesforce configuration, automation, and integrations across its go-to-market organization. The role supports Sales, Marketing, Finance, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success while leading solutions from requirements gathering through implementation, documentation, and user training. A central responsibility is migrating from Salesforce CPQ to a new CPQ platform and administering quoting, product catalog, and pricing workflows over the long term. The administrator will also manage AI-powered GTM integrations and partner with an internal AI enablement team. Success requires strong Salesforce administration, CPQ, SQL, systems thinking, and stakeholder communication skills.

Sample interview questions
I would begin with a detailed inventory of current quote-to-cash processes, product and pricing data, integrations, customizations, and reporting dependencies. I would define future-state requirements with Sales, Finance, and Operations, establish data-migration and testing plans, and run a phased rollout or pilot where possible. Clear training materials, office hours, and post-launch monitoring would help drive adoption and quickly resolve issues.
I would first identify the expected routing criteria and trace a sample of affected records through the integration logs, middleware, and Salesforce automation. I would validate field mappings, ownership rules, matching logic, permissions, validation rules, and any recent configuration changes. After isolating the failure point, I would implement the fix, test positive and edge cases in a sandbox, document the root cause, and add monitoring or alerts to prevent recurrence.
I start by clarifying the business objective, affected users, current process, desired outcomes, constraints, and success metrics rather than jumping directly to a requested feature. I map the workflow and data model, identify reusable patterns and downstream impacts, and propose options with trade-offs. Once stakeholders align on scope, I document requirements, deliver iteratively, validate with users, and provide training and supporting documentation.
I would use clearly defined source-of-truth tables, consistent join keys, documented field definitions, and careful handling of duplicates and null values. For complex queries, I would validate record counts and totals against Salesforce reports or known control samples, use common table expressions to make logic readable, and optimize joins and filters for performance. I would also version important queries and document assumptions so others can audit and reuse them.
I would evaluate each tool against a clear business use case, data-quality requirements, security and privacy expectations, user adoption, and measurable efficiency or revenue-operations outcomes. I would define appropriate access controls, test output quality before broad deployment, monitor integration reliability and user feedback, and establish an escalation process with the AI enablement team. Ongoing governance should include documentation of data flows, configuration changes, risks, and performance metrics.
About this role.
At Dscout, we’re building the most flexible and powerful UX research platform on the market—trusted by the world’s top brands in finance (JP Morgan Chase, Intuit, Charles Schwab, PayPal), healthcare (Aya, Headspace), consumer goods (Keen, Verizon, Target, Northface), and tech (Google, Amazon, Facebook, Meta, Spotify, AirBnB). Our tools help teams deeply understand the humans behind their products, so they can build better ones. We are expanding our smart and driven team and would love for you to join us.
We are looking for a GTM & Salesforce Systems Administrator to join our Revenue Operations team. You’ll directly support internal Dscout teams by owning and improving the configuration of Salesforce, automating information flows, and building scalable solutions that power our go-to-market engine. You’ll lead the entire project cycle, from scoping initial pain points and requirements through implementing solutions and training teams on new workflows.
As a combination of process owner, analyst, and internal solutions consultant, you will have a chance to help inform strategic decisions. You’ll be a key player in helping a quickly growing company automate and update their internal workflows and systems, and you’ll bring a modern, AI-informed approach to how you do it. You are an incredible communicator and a genuine, creative problem-solver. If this sounds like you, apply today!
What you will do (let’s call them Responsibilities):
- Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions that support Sales, Marketing, Finance, Revenue Operations and Customer Success teams. Build scalable automation solutions that eliminate manual work and keep GTM processes running efficiently.
- Support integrations between Salesforce and key GTM tools (e.g. Gong, LeanData, ChiliPiper, Cognism, etc.).
- Manage and maintain AI-powered integrations in the GTM ecosystem, partnering with our AI enablement team to implement, troubleshoot, and evolve these tools as our AI footprint grows.
- Drive the active migration from Salesforce CPQ to our new CPQ tool and serve as its long-term administrator, covering quoting workflows, product catalog management, and pricing rules.
- Document and organize information related to data structures, relationships, definitions, and processes.
- Plan and conduct internal training sessions related to Salesforce and reporting best practices.
What you need to have (we can call them Desired Skills and Background):
- 4+ years of Salesforce administrator / developer experience required.
- Salesforce Administration / Advanced Administration certification required (additional, advanced certifications preferred).
- Hands-on CPQ experience required; Salesforce CPQ or equivalent experience with tools like Vendori, DealHub, or similar is a plus.
- Technical proficiency in SQL and database structures, including the ability to write complex queries.
- Experience partnering with departments and leadership to scope requirements and see projects through to completion.
- Experience working with AI-powered tools (including Claude CoWork) and integrations in a Salesforce context; experience configuring or maintaining AI features within the platform is a plus; willingness to partner closely with an internal AI enablement team is a must.
- Excited about the opportunities and challenges that live within the ambiguity of our work
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable shifting between priorities across departments
- Able to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Passion for expanding and improving the user experience and efficiency of Salesforce within a growing company.
We do our best to write realistic, accurate job descriptions, but we also recognize that great talent comes in many forms and from many backgrounds. Not sure if you meet all of the above bullets? Please apply anyway!
