The role, at a glance.
Peerspace is seeking a senior or principal-level product manager to own the host-facing supply side of its two-sided venue marketplace. The role covers host onboarding, activation, listing quality, and operational tools such as messaging, availability, and scheduling. This leader will conduct host research, analyze marketplace and CX data, define measurable outcomes, and turn insights into product strategy and shipped solutions. Success requires substantial marketplace product experience, strong cross-functional leadership, executive influence, and accountability for business impact.

Sample interview questions
I would map the host journey from sign-up through first successful booking, combining funnel data with interviews, CX contacts, and operational feedback. I would segment hosts by venue type, geography, and activation behavior to isolate major drop-off points, then prioritize opportunities by expected marketplace impact, confidence, effort, and speed to learning.
I would make the trade-offs explicit by defining the expected value and risks for hosts, guests, and platform economics. I would validate assumptions through research and data, propose options with measurable guardrails, and use an experiment or phased rollout where possible before scaling the solution.
I would use a balanced set of leading and lagging metrics, including listing completion, time to activation, publish rate, listing quality, availability coverage, host response time, booking conversion, repeat bookings, host retention, and GMV contribution. The exact north-star metric would depend on the product area, but it would be paired with guest-experience and marketplace-quality guardrails.
I would frame the decision around the customer problem, strategic goals, evidence, and trade-offs rather than personal preference. I would present clear alternatives with a recommendation, invite constructive challenge, and align the group on a measurable decision and review point so the team can learn from results.
I would involve them early as continuous discovery partners, using their frontline knowledge to identify recurring host friction and validate solution concepts. During delivery, I would keep them informed on scope and rollout plans, prepare support and operational processes, and use post-launch feedback to refine the experience.
About this role.
Senior PM/Principal PM – Host team
Peerspace is the leading and category defining online marketplace for venue rentals for meetings, productions, and events. We open doors to the most inspiring spaces around the world, from lofts and mansions to storefronts and studios. Over $500M has been transacted through the platform, and our investors include GV (Google Ventures) and Foundation Capital.
Our people are the heart of Peerspace. We are a team that values inclusion and working cross functionally. Our strategy and objectives are clear and we support one another to exceed expectations. We believe that a healthy company culture creates an environment where people are excited to come into work everyday and contribute to building a successful organization.
The Role
The Senior Product Manager (level flexible) in this role will own the host (supply) side of our marketplace – everything that helps hosts list, get activated, and run a thriving business on Peerspace. It’s a wide-ranging remit spanning host onboarding and activation, listing quality, and the host tools that power day-to-day management (messaging, availability, scheduling).
We’re looking for someone who has lived and breathed two-sided marketplaces and knows that great supply is what makes them work. You’ll get to know our hosts firsthand – their businesses, their workflows, and what’s frustrating them – then turn those pain points into solutions that keep them transacting on the platform.
As we expand the services and tools we offer hosts, you’ll shape the long-term strategy for host success and, just as importantly, drive the execution that turns it into shipped, measurable impact. Our team is small but mighty – so you’ll be able to make a ton of impact quickly, and help chart the future direction of the company.
What you’ll do
Get close to our hosts: talk with them regularly, spend time in the data and in CX conversations, and build a deep understanding of their pain points, how our marketplace works today, competitors and market trends.
Translate what you learn into creative, well-scoped solutions – balancing host needs with guest experience and overall marketplace health.
Proactively engage the right stakeholders – including host-facing teams like CX and Supply Operations – to inform decisions and keep them aligned throughout development, not just at launch.
Own business outcomes end-to-end: define the metrics that matter, instrument them, and be accountable for moving them – not just for shipping features.
Present multiple options with a clear recommendation, hold your own with executives, and engage in constructive disagreement when it serves the customer and the business.
Drive execution and ensure your cross-functional teams deliver customer value and desired business outcomes effectively.
Who you are
5+ years of Product Management experience in a two-sided marketplace, ideally focused on the supply side. You understand marketplace dynamics and have shipped products that moved them.
Deeply customer-obsessed: you seek out conversations with users, get energized by understanding them, and have a track record of turning those insights into products they love.
Creative and entrepreneurial problem solver who can go from high-level opportunity to detailed plan to successful execution. You are great at energizing teams, building product roadmaps and collaborating with engineering, design, marketing and operations to make it happen.
Track record of owning measurable business outcomes – able to articulate the “so what” behind past launches and the impact they drove, not just the features shipped.
Confident presenting multiple options with a clear point of view, influencing executives and cross-functional partners, and giving and receiving direct feedback.
Inclusive, open-minded, self-aware and eager to continuously learn. You have a passion for product and are genuinely excited about Peerspace’s mission.
